Choose

We’re often forced to choose between two sides of ourselves, but why can’t we exist as both. Not a single person is limited to one thing, yet we are constantly forced to choose. To starve one half is to lose to the other. We must accept every part of ourselves if we want to be whole. I want to start going beyond the limitations of two-dimensional printmaking. By printing on fabric, I hope to evoke the feeling of inner conflict and the choices we make. From moral decisions to displays our identity. I am often presented with the question – male or female? This installation shows the feeling of being pulled apart by my two halves.
